UGH.
A declining number of players and Volunteer Coaches might lead to the end of the Livingston Rec Youth Flag Football program.

I like soccer. Please don’t misunderstand me. My son, William, is growing to love the sport, although I'm not sure why. After all, he has a ball, a bat, and a glove for baseball - what more does a kid need? And he has a pizza bet with Coach Jeff Dickerson on the outcome of the FIFA Club World Cup this weekend; whatever that is.
William is not alone. Everywhere one looks in Gallatin and Park County, there seems to be a youth soccer match being played.
What I don’t see are outdoor pickup basketball games being played, nor a group of ballplayers carving out their own Sandlot for endless days and nights of neighborhood baseball. I have AAU travel teams to thank for that. Oh joy.
In Livingston, a dearth of driveway basketball hoops remains, which partly explains the Rangers’ basketball record over the past four years. The Park High football program, despite the Herculean efforts of its coaches, has been on life support for the past few years. Let’s face it, Livingston is a soccer town.
Under Coach Dickerson, the Rangers experienced an unprecedented level of success over the past 14 years, highlighted by a state championship, two state final appearances, and two conference championships.
Livingston needs to name a road after Coach Dickerson.
