This Easter weekend, two schools held three fundraisers, which reminded everyone who was paying attention of Christ's commandment to Love your neighbor as yourself.
To see our neighbors not just as those living nearby, but as anyone who needs our help or kindness and that loving your neighbor often involves being willing to sacrifice your own time, energy, and resources to help others.
The town of Gardiner and Gardiner School held their first Community Pickleball Tournament on Friday at Gardiner School to raise funds for the school’s National Honor Society.
Manhattan Christain School held it Annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, which dates back to 2004, to raise money for its athletic program, and a free throw and three-point shooting contest to raise money for the Arielle Giovanini Scholarship Fund named after Arielle Giovanini a Heritage Christian School student who passed away on March 30th.
Both events showed how much communities can help when called upon.
