The Lady Rangers Volleyball team lost a thriller in five sets to Fergus. In the season opener, the senior-led squad displayed gritty play, teamwork, lots of talent, and a bright future.

What a roller coaster ride of emotions the Park High Lady Rangers gave their fans on Tuesday night during their season-opening volleyball match against the Fergus Lady Golden Eagles at Park High in Livingston. What appeared to be a challenging but winnable match after the Rangers took a two sets to none lead turned into a nailbiter, season-building, five-set loss as the Golden Eagles took advantage of some Ranger mistakes to win 18-25, 21-25, 26-24, 25-22, 15-9.

With the Park High pep band leading the way, the student section was rocking as the Rangers came out in the first set and built a 20-14 lead. Seniors Molly Arterburn, Tess Goosey, Ellie King, MacKenna O’Dea, Quinci Wood, and Maddison Wise led the way, with sophomore Sophia Fetterhoff and juniors Kenzie Angus, Annabelle Smith, Sabra Wilton, and Abbey Watts filling out the squad.
