Good news/bad news. First, the bad news: our video glitched on Monday night, so we can’t show you the awesome pizza we had at Gil’s Goods (https://www.murrayblock.com/gilsmenu) on Park St in Livingston. The good news is that, at least for now, you don’t have to see my mug on video while eating.

The glitch wasn’t all our fault; more on that later.

Gil’s Goods opened in May 2012 and was the brainchild of chef/owner Brian Menges. It’s been busy since opening, serving homemade baked goods, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including 13 styles of wood-fired pizza. I first discovered Gil’s when we moved to Livingston four years ago and couldn’t stand to eat one more slice of Domino’s Pizza.

The pizza Gil’s served me that first time was so good I would have asked to take it to the prom. Since then, it’s been my go-to pizza place. In fact, I’m not sure what else they have, as the cheese or pepperoni pizza is all I’ve had.
