Park High's bright tennis future was on display at JV Divisionals in Hardin on Wednesday
Jason Strupp and Eric Uberuaga paired up to win First Place, and first-year coach Carren Jacobik is still excited - she gets it.

The Park High Rangers tennis teams traveled to Hardin on Wednesday to play in the Junior Varsity Divisional Tennis Tournament and showcase their future tennis stars. The players are good, that’s for sure; the tennis coach, though, is part of the story.
We love high school coaches who get excited when talking about their teams and players - all their players, not just the stars.
First-year Park High Head Tennis Coach Carren Jacobik is among the coaches who understand that high school sports shouldn’t be reserved only for the stars.
I just returned from the 5B/12C District track meet, where most of the field lapped a girl in the 1600m race, yet she kept running. The crowd cheered for her down the home stretch as she finished the race as if she were winning.
That’s effort. That’s what it’s all about.
So, I was impressed when Coach Jacobik emailed me today at 6:11 a.m. to tell me how great her JV teams did.
