I stopped by Blend Smoothie Co. on Thursday night to cover its ribbon-cutting ceremony in honor of joining the Livingston Area Chamber of Commerce.
As a result, I met the couple who own the shop, Brittni and Jason Mayfield who happily told me about Blend Smoothie, shared a little of their past culinary experience, and fed William free donuts and hot cocoa while we waited for the shop to be formally introduced to the public by Chamber of Commerce CEO Leslie Feigle.
In other words, they seemed open to my visit and offered a dose of hospitality that showed both their kind and giving nature.
Blend Smoothie opened in June 2023 and by now most folks are aware that they serve wicked good smoothies in a space that most young people would die to have as their first apartment. With its high ceilings, Blend Smoothie has serious Tribeca loft vibes, comfy plush chairs, and an overstuffed couch that gives it the look and feel of a cozy, hip living room (add to it the Christmas decorations the Mayfields had up including a Leg Lamp ala A Christmas Story) rather than a place to stop for a smoothie and some baked goods.
