Well, what do you say we just get to it? To appease “Joan,” this week’s dissatisfied reader, who doesn’t “need an opening monologue of sappy memories that attempt to connect a story or any reference to sports or the Cubs (they start an important three-game series against Cleveland today - couldn’t help myself), or kids or me to telling her where to drink her coffee or eat breakfast and instead wants just the facts, like the local paper with their daily detailed news coverage, and by the way did I hear they won an award for best sports coverage and news coverage in the state?”

We will, despite her claim that we won’t print her Letter to the Editor this afternoon.
